Suppose

You've been called by God to do a great work for Him,
Maybe you've been running from it for a long time,
Perhaps you weren't paying attention or recognized His voice calling,
But you finally decided to stop running...
Finally decided to stop, listen, and realize it's His voice you've been ignoring all this time.
Excited and humbled by His assignment you accept the calling, though you may not have the big picture or all the details.

But suppose, for instance, you experience a time of illness,
and you lose your present employment,
Let's suppose your finances suffer,
Suppose the one person you thought you could lean on is not there for you,
Just suppose the people start criticizing the very work you've been called to do?

Or suppose.......

you simply trust?

"The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not be in want" Ps. 23:1

The minute we accept God's call ...Satan starts whispering into our ears things that fill us with fear and doubt until, if not careful, we are lead to a depressed state and simply give up!!! When you accept God's calling on your life, you must realize that you are about embark upon some fiery trials...

Trials that are the Devil's attempt to stop you from doing a great and mighty thing for God...
Trials that God allows to come so that we may be shaped, molded, and purified to what God wants us to be!!

So suppose you receive and act on God's word in childlike faith.
For God has said,'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'
So we can say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper;I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'(Heb.13:5-6)

  1. tremendous inspiration to follow God no matter what.. my thoughts this morning were: 1We either are running from God.. 2We either are running to God... 3Or we are running from the image we thought would make people think we were perfect and we find that we cannot attain or sustain that picture of ourselves...
The antidote to depression is; Know what God thinks of you and your self imposed image will be changed into a contented force for this world and His Kingdom
